Worry Doesn’t Help You Attain Your Fitness Goals.

Hello my friend, welcome to the Full Disclosure Fitness Blog. I want to begin today with a quote from Walt Disney:

“Why worry? If you’ve done the very best you can, worrying won’t make it any better.” – Walt Disney

I just returned from vacation at Walt Disney World yesterday. I had a great time and was inspired (as always) by the wonders that Walt Disney built.

For those of you that don’t know Walt is probably my biggest inspiration for innovation and creation. I truly love his work.

But I digress, what I want to talk to you about is worry. I was walking around Disney World looking at quotes from Walt (they have these plastered up in construction zones, they are called ‘Dream Builders’ quotes).

The one above really stuck out to me – because I was disobeying it. I was worrying. About my businesses, about my clients, my workouts – about everything really.

But what good does it do to worry? Problems are in the past or the future most often – and we end up contaminating the present with them. It’s a shame really.

But all the power is in NOW. We can change things here and now – but not in the past or the future. Then, once we make those adjustments we should quit “worrying” and move on.

The same is true with fat loss and fitness. Make adjustments then quit worrying. Don’t focus solely on the destination, enjoy the journey – lest you trip and fall over something at your feet from looking too far ahead.

I hope this helps you as much as it did me, and leaves you with a feeling of relief. Live in the moment, make the best of it. We are all human and we all have our shadows – but do not let the shadows rule your life.

Yours in Health,
